Mt. Baruntse 7,129m. is interesting mountain climbing in Nepal for those climbers who dream to summit above 7,000m. in their lifetime. Mt. Baruntse peak being an attractive mountain offers various existing routes. Mt. Baruntse a substantial and symmetrical snow peak has four ridges and summits with a high rate of successful ascent on normal route via South Ridge. It is bounded on the east by the Barun Glacier flowing north-south from Cho, north-west by the Imja glacier and the Hunku glacier forms the south-east boundary. This mountain was first climbed by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow of the Hilary New Zealand Expedition team in 30 May 1954. The mountain has gained in popularity over the past several years. The climbing normal south route is not technically demanding but through a prominent ice cliff at around 7000m. adds a challenging climb.
This peak is situated in central position amongst the some of the high peaks of eastern nepal Himalaya. This expedition trip begins from Kathmandu fly into Lukla. It will take 8/9 days to reach in Base Camp 5,300m. via Mera La, through the high and lovely valleys. Himalayan Yetiland Treks provides all necessary infrastructures to assist you in your summit attempt in Baruntse. We will do the necessary paperwork for expedition permit organize all accommodation before and after expedition. We organize camp facilities, transport loads, stock and set up high camps, fix ropes, provide food, high altitude food, high quality tents, porters, professional Climbing Sherpas, oxygen, satellite telephone, Wake Talkie set, as well advice and assistance as per needed during the expedition.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.

Day 03: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Fly to Lukla 2860m. then trek to Chutanga 3137m.
Day 05: Trekking Chutanga – Nau Lekha.
Day 06: Nau Lekha – Kothey (Tashi Ongma).
Day 07: Kothey – Thangnak 4355m.
Day 08: Thangnak – Khare 4745m.
Day 09: Khare – Mera Base Camp 5260m.
Day 10: Mera BC – Seto Pokhari.
Day 11: Seto Pokhari – Barun Tse Base Camp.
Day 12 – 23: Climbing period for Mt. Baruntse summit
Day 24: Clean up base Camp & Reserve day.

| Expenses For Climb Baruntse: The cost for expedition in Baruntse will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and during the trek to Baruntse base camp will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van. The size of climbing team as well number of climbing guide and porters required will also affect the total cost of the expedition. For these reasons on the same Mt. Baruntse 7129m. expedition can vary in price quite substantially. |
