Mt. Lhotse is the fourth tallest mountain on earth, rising to 8,516m. high. It is a joint  neighbor to Mt. Everest, long east-west crest is located just south of Mount Everest and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col. The first attempt on Lhotse was made by F. Luchsinger and E. Reiss in 1956. The South Face of Lhotse is one of the largest mountain faces in the world and  summit route follows through it.  Lhotse Base Camp is pitched beside the foot of  Island Peak (Imja Tse) and if the expedition team is climbing west face then the base camp will be at Khumbu Glacier, same as Everest Base Camp.

Himalayan Yetiland Treks provides for Lhotse expedition with all necessary infrastructures to assist you in your summit attempt. We will do the necessary paperwork for expedition permit organize all accommodation before and after expedition. We organize camp facilities, transport loads, stock and set up high camps, fix ropes, provide food, high altitude food, high quality tents, porters, professional Climbing Sherpas, oxygen, satellite telephone, Wake Talkie set, advice and assistance as per needed.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Preparation for Expedition.
Day 03: Official works for expedition and briefing by officer of Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Kathmandu – Lukla 2860m. by flight then trek to Phakding 2622m.
Day 05: Phakding – Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 06: Rest day for acclimatization and explore around.
Day 07: Namche Bazaar – Thyangboche 3867m.
Day 08: Thyangboche – Pheriche 4343m.
Day 09: Pheriche – Labuche 4915m.
Day 10: Lobuche – Everest Base Camp 5380m.
Day 11-37: Climbing Period for Mt. Lhotse summit

Day 38: Cleaning up Base Camp and Preparation.
Day 39: Base Camp – Pheriche 4343m.
Day 40: Pheriche – Thyangboche 3837m.
Day 41: Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 42: Namche Bazaar – Lukla and transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 43: Early flight back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 44: Free in Kathmandu.
Day 45: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Expenses For Climb To Lhotse: The cost for Mt. Lhots 8516m. expedition will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and during the trek to Lhotse base camp will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van. The size of climbing team as well number of Climbing guide and porters required will also affect the total cost of the expedition. For these reasons on the same Nepal expedition programs can vary in price quite substantially.

Service includes:   

  • All land transportation: Airport /Hotel/Airport, trekking, expedition pick up & drop.
  • 5 Nights Accommodation in Kathmandu at a tourist class Hotel on bed & breakfast plan as per given itinerary.
  • Transport as per itinerary for members, staff and Liaison Officer.
  • Transportation of all food and climbing equipments to base camp and back.
  • Peak permit fee.
  • Full board basis during the trekking.
  • All kitchen equipments; kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, shower tent, chairs and tables at the base camp.
  • Cook and Kitchen boys at the base camp.
  • Base camp tents for members and staff.
  • Per Person 50 KG. Equipment’s luggage / barrels allowed till to Base Camp.
  • Equipment allowance, wages and insurance for base camp staff and Liaison Officer.
  • Airfare: KTM / Lukla / Kathmandu with airport tax & cargo fees.
  • National Park Conservation Fee.

  • Nepal entry visa fee. (Can be obtained at the airport upon arrival).
  • Hotel after 5 nights stay in Kathmandu.

  • Drinks except tea and coffee.
  • Personal climbing gear and equipment above base camp.
  • Walki -Takie permit & Satellite phone permit.
  • Oxygen & Mask -regulator for climbing.
  • Climbing guide (Sherpa).
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical and emergency evacuation.
  • Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods arriving to Nepal by air or road.

  • International airport departure tax & tourist tax.
  • Tips and climbing bonus.
  • Garbage deposit US $ 3000.00 for a team. After expedition deposit will be refundable.
