Mt. Nuptse is rising to 7,855m. high and situated in the Mahalangur Himalayan range, exact south west of Mt. Everest. The name Nup-tse is Tibetan and means west-peak, as it is the western part of the Lhotse-Nuptse massif. It dominates the skyline infront of world’s highest mountain Everest and Lhotse. The trekker who has made the trip to Everest region, remember Mt. Nupts’s distinctive shape and sharp summit, which is really on of the beautiful mountain in Khumbu region. Mt. Nuptse was first sumited by a British expedition team in 1961. The main ridge, which is separated from Lhotse by a 7,556m. high saddle, is crowned by 7 peaks and goes northwest until its steep west face drops down more than 2,300m. The north slopes are rising from the Western Cwm valley with the upper part of the Khumbu glacier above its famous icefall.

To scale this high mountain, Himalayan Yetiland Treks provide for expedition with all necessary infrastructures to assist you in your summit attempt. We will do all the necessary paperwork for expedition permit organize all accommodation before and after expedition. We organize camp facilities, transport loads, stock and set up high camps, fix ropes, provide food, high altitude food, high quality tents, porters, professional Climbing Sherpas, oxygen, satellite telephone, Wake Talkie set, advice and assistance as per needed during the Nuptse peak climb.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Preparation for Expedition.
Day 03: Official works for expedition and briefing by officer of Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Kathmandu – Lukla 2860m. by flight then trek to Phakding 2622m.
Day 05: Phakding – Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 06: Rest day for acclimatization and explore around.
Day 07: Namche – Thyangboche 3867m.
Day 08: Thyangboche – Pheriche 4342m.
Day 09: Pheriche – Labuche 4915m.
Day 10: Acclimatization at Labuche or hiking around.
Day 11: Lobuche – Nuptse Base Camp.
Day 12-37: Climbing Period for Mt. Nuptse Summit (7,855m.)
Day 38: Cleaning Base Camp and Preparation.
Day 39: Base Camp – Pheriche.
Day 40: Pheriche – Thyangboche.
Day 41: Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar.
Day 42: Namche Bazaar – Lukla and transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 43: Early flight back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 44: Free in Kathmandu.
Day 45: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Expenses For Mt. Nuptse 7855m. Expedition: The cost for Nepal Expedition will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and during the trek to Nuptse expedition base camp will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your Nupatse climbing trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van. The size of climbing team as well number of climbing guide and porters required will also affect the total cost of the expedition. For these reasons on the same expedition in Everest region can vary in price quite substantially.

Service includes:   

  • All land transportation: Airport /Hotel/Airport, trekking, expedition pick up & drop.
  • 5 Nights Accommodation in Kathmandu at a tourist class Hotel on bed & breakfast plan as per given itinerary.
  • Transport as per itinerary for members, staff and Liaison Officer.
  • Transportation of all food and climbing equipments to base camp and back.
  • Peak permit fee.
  • Full board basis during the trekking.
  • All kitchen equipments; kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, shower tent, chairs and tables at the base camp.
