Out of many interesting trekking trails, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhare Trekking is one of the exotic and interesting treks in Nepal, which is perhaps the least visited trekking area in Nepal. The trek around the majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalayan that includes a whole Annapurna range (Annapurna I-IV, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Tent Peak, Gandarwa Chuli, Singu Chuli, Holy Mount Fishtail, Mardi Himal, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri) can be seen from the nearer points with enjoying peaceful and non crowded environment. It is also the easy and short trekking in Annapurna region.
The Trek, which leads you along the warm valleys and the friendly villages, along the banks of Mardi Khola from the hill side village, down through the lovely fields, past the simple farms over the bridges. Descending through the forest, a different route takes you steeply down to the upper Mardi Khola, the torrent that has been the ice and the snow of Mardi Himal, although remote and still away from the used trekking routes.
Mardi Himal Trip itinery:
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley
Day 03 : Drive - Pokhara, 8 hours
Day 04 : Pokhara - Gyachok 5 hours
Day 05 : Gyachok - Sano Khoban (1,600m). 5 hours
Day 06 : Khoban - Pipa (3,150m). 6 hours
Day 07 : Acclimatization day.
Day 08 : Pipa to Thulo Kharka (4,120m). 5 hours
Day 09 : Thulo Kharka - Korchon (3,680m). 6 hours
Day 10 : Korchon - Riban (1,780m). 5 hours
Day 11 : Riban - Hyenja, drive to Pokhara. 4 hours
Day 12 : Drive back to Kathmandu 8 hours
Day 13 : Sightseeing in ancient city of Bhaktapur
Day 14 : Final Departure.

Expenses For The Trip: The cost for Nepal Trekking will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and during the trek will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The camping trek and teahouse trek made a difference in the cost. The number of guide, assistant guides and porters required will also affect the total cost of the trek.
