This trek is located in the Everest region, which is shorter and best trekking destination in lower everest trek area. The trek leads east from Lukla, over the Salpa Pass and into Tumlingtar. As trail head eastward, you leave most of the tourists behind and roam through fascinating traditional villages. Sherpa tends livestock at higher altitudes about 2,000m. while Rais farm the fertile Valleys below. The lush forests abound in wildlife and bird species. The Salpa Pass trek offers sweeping Himalayan views. The Salpa to Arun valley trek , each day variety of charming local community and villages could be seen. You will enjoy visiting the culturally rich Sherpa and Rai villages, Buddhist Gompas and the fantastic landscape with rice paddy fields. The Salpa pass trekking ends at tumlingtar from where catch the flight to Kathmandu.
Salpa Pass Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel
Day 02 Kathmandu sightseeing
Day 03 Kathmandu – Lukla (2800m.) by flight then trek to Puiyan 2730m.
Day 04 Puiyan – Pangum 2850m. O/N.
Day 05 Pangum – Najing 2650m.
Day 06 Najing – Bung 1710m.
Day 07 Bung – Sonam 2750m.
Day 08 Sonam – Salpa Pass (3350m.) - Phedi 1676m.
Day 09 Phedi – Gothe Bazaar 1128m.
Day 10 Gothe Bazaar – Kattike Ghat 457m.
Day 11 Kattike Ghat – Tumlingtar.
Day 12 Tumlingtar – Kathmandu flight and transfer to hotel.
Day 13 Kathmandu sightseeing
Day 14 Depature

| Expenses For Everest Salpa Trek: The cost for hike to Salpa pass will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and during the trek will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The camping trek and teahouse trek made a difference in the cost. The number of guide, assistant guides and porters required will also affect the total cost of the trek. For these reasons on the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially. |
