Panch Pokhari trekking route offers real culture and magnificent mountain views in Himalaya still unaffected by mass tourism. Panch Pokhari is situated to the north east of Kathmandu valley and west of Rolwaling Himal in Sindhupalchok district. Panch Pokhari means the group of five holy ponds in Nepali, which Hindus and buddhist religiously respect. This trek is way to explore shamanism in Nepal. The area offers cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. The beautiful Himalayan range and pristine nature with different culture are major highlight of the trek.
The trek begins in Chautara about six hours drive from Kathmandu, climbing to a ridge and following it north to Pach Pokhari. Afetr reaching to Panch Pokhari trek continue to Helambu and then head back down through Dhap to reach Melamchipull Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu.
