Makalu Base Camp Trekking is choice

eastern Himalayas. This trek takes one right up close to the high mountain,

sub-tropical pine forest. The region is still very untouched and an irregular
trekking area and it is very close to the Everest region. The trek foolows
along the Arun River, so it is also known as Arun Valley trek too. The Arun
Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and
nature.People living in this remote place are depend on cattle herds, farming
and small - time trade. There can meet various castes and ethnic groups of
people like as Sherpa in the higher elevation, Rai, Limbu, Gurung, Tamang,
Magar, Newar, Brahmins and Chhetris in the rest low land.
The trek starts from Tumlingtar, which is Kanchenjunga and Makalu Trekking
starting point and trail towards the north along the Arun river, Sedwa and Num,
crossing Shipton La (4127m) into upper Barun Khola valley. Makalu region is one
of the best kept secrets in the Himalayas and is an adventure trek that
requires us to be very isolated from any sort of modern facilities. The trek
reaches high elevations and has the opportunity to view rocky and mountainous
landscapes and aqua blue-green glacier lakes.
